Last week Cllr John Housley presented these young artists from Grenoside Primary school with their prizes for winning the Covid Monument competition. The competition was launched in conjunction with the Convid Monument community group to come up with design ideas for a monument where people will be able to reflect on events of the last 2 years. The main monument will be in Chapeltown Park and 5 smaller ones will be placed across parks in the Parish. A huge congratulations to Drew, Maahirah, Martha, Seth and Zach – we can’t wait to see the sculptures in place in the new year.
