VE Day 80 Ecclesfield Park tug of war competition AS PART OF OUR D-DAY 80 EVENT WE WILL BE HOLDING OUR THIRD ANNUAL FUN TUG OF WAR COMPETITION *** WE NEED TEAMS! *** COME AND PULL FOR YOUR GYM, LOCAL PUB, WORK PLACE OR GROUP OF FRIENDS! TEAMS OF 6 PEOPLE, OVER 16'S ONLY. THERE IS A TROPHY FOR THE WINNING TEAM! YOU CAN PRE-REGISTER TEAMS BEFORE THE EVENT AT COMMUNITYEVENTS@ECCLESFIELD-PC.GOV.UK OR SIGN UP ON THE DAY. VE DAY GRANT Leaflet Applications are now being taken for any group, school, care home or PTA based in S35 to help fund VE Day activities. Grants available of up to £200. For more information please email: admin@ecclesfield-pc.gov.uk Closing date is 31st March for applications

Ecclesfield Parish Council in conjunction with North Sheffield are now taking applications for any community group, school, care home or PTA based within our Parish to help fund their VE Day activities.

VE DAY 80 PARADE Are you part of the Scouting or Girl Guiding community? Are you, or does your child belong to a cadet group within the forces? If so, we need YOU! We held a D-Day commemoration last June which saw over 400 people attending. This year we are bringing our wonderful community together again to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day which marked the end of the war in Europe and WWII as a whole on 8th May 1945. We are looking to have a remembrance parade at 7pm and would like to invite as many cadets, scouting & guiding groups from the S35 and surrounding areas to come together and take part in this special event. This was hugely popular last year - a highlight in the evening for everyone to witness. The night will also include, live music, food and drink stalls, competitions and free children’s rides and face painting. Following the HUGE success of our D-Day 80 event held earlier this year in Ecclesfield park, we are pleased to let you know we will be back next May to bring the Parish together this time commemorating VE Day 80.
Planning is currently underway, so save the date and we will see you there!
