Community Hub – SYP Information

After taking part in a Community Hub yesterday via zoom, we talked about anti-social behaviour with one of our local PCSO’s. One of the main problems highlighted was the use of off road bikes in an anti-soical manner.
There is now a dedicated facebook page for reporting issues with off road bikes which can be found here:
South Yorksire Police also have a dedicated website where you can report non-urgent crimes.
Alternatively for non-urgent police enquiries you can call 101 or in an emergency always call 999.

Keep Our Parish Tidy

As we approach the Great British September clean, why not get involved. We have regular litter picks in our Parish area and volunteers are always welcome.
Chapeltown Litter Pickers are meeting at 10am outside Chapeltown library this Saturday 12th. All equipment is provided and there are lots of friendly faces if it’s your first time. Just pop down at 10am and you can even bring your kids!

Victory Over Japan Day – 75th Anniversary Celebrations in Chapeltown

A lovely Victory over Japan day was celebrated in Chapeltown last weekend, thanks to organiser Diane Round from Ooops a Daisy. Who set up the day with lots of other businesses in order to raise money fot SSAFA – The Armend Forces Charity. We even had a loaned resroed jeep, tombola and fancy dress competion.

Work For Us – Part-time (25 Hours) Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer (RFO)

A vacancy has arisen for a Parish Clerk and RFO to Ecclesfield Parish Council. We are seeking a suitably experienced person with a wide variety of skills. The post would probably suit someone who has previous experience in management within local government. The successful applicant will preferably hold the CiLCA qualification or be willing to undertake the relevant training. This is a post of 25 hours per week with the benefit of flexible working (Council, Planning and Finance meetings in the evenings) and a pro rata salary in accordance with the new NJC scale 31-35 (£33,799-£37,849) dependent upon experience and qualifications.


The Clerk will also act as the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer, therefore financial acumen will be essential, as well as Leadership and Communication skills. The Parish of Ecclesfield has approximately 40,000 residents and its Parish Council has 15 Councillors.

– 15th August 2020 in Chapeltown –

Pop down into Chapeltown this Saturday for lots of socially distant family fun.

– 9:30 – 12:00pm Sign up for fancy dress outside Ooops a Daisy, and a solider hunt too.
– From 9:30 onwards, different activities including a tombola, and bun stalls locally.
– 1:15pm Socially distant fancy dress parade from Aspire to the Garden next to Newton Hall to be judged by members from Chapeltown in Bloom.

A great local day out, in our lovely Parish.
