Ecclesfield Parish Council is soon to begin probably the largest survey ever carried out by the council. We are seeking to find out what you, the residents of the parish want from the council. We are also working on a Parish Plan. This will legally protect areas within the parish for years to come.

On Thursday 5 September, Chairman, Cllr Terry Bawden present Michael Appleby and Alison Gethin with the Chairman’s Awards for their community spirit. Both people are ex-councillors however agreed to continue signing cheques to allow the parish council to function during the change-over of administration. They continued for an extended period all because one ex-councillor refused to remove their name from the council’s bank accounts.
Michael Appleby does sterling work running the Chapelgreen Advice Centre & Alison Gethin has been very active in the running of Friends of Chapeltown Parks.
Josh Cope, a former student of Ecclesfield High School has had the amazing opportunity of designing the Parish Councils NEW Logo.
Josh was chatting to Parish Cllr Paul Swift while studying for his final year at Barnsley College and showed Cllr Swift what he had done as part of his professional development work. Josh was invited to meeting and present his ideas to the full council and one of his designs has been select as the new logo for the council.
