TravelMaster price increases – from Tuesday 1 March 2022
Who is TravelMaster?
TravelMaster is a commercial organisation, owned and operated by the region’s transport companies. The region’s transport companies work together through TravelMaster to deliver integrated, multi-operator travel tickets. TravelMaster is independent of any single operator and is not part of any public sector body. More information about TravelMaster’s governance: https://www.sytravelmaster.com/about.
What are the changes?
From Tuesday 1 March, TravelMaster is applying an approximate 5% price rise to their range of products as follows:
New On-Vehicle Prices
The price of 1-Day and 7-Day tickets purchased on board will increase. 7-Day products purchased on board will continue to have a higher price than those bought off-vehicle.

New Off-Vehicle Prices
The price of products purchased off-vehicle will also increase. 7-Day products purchased off-vehicle e.g. at ticket vending machines, online through sytravelmaster.com or via Payzone, will still cost less than buying them on board.

TravelMaster’s 18-22 Discount Card will continue to provide all young people with a 15% discount on the new off-vehicle prices regardless of educational or residency criteria.

How are these changes being communicated to customers?
The new prices will be introduced from Tuesday 1 March 2022. TravelMaster will be ensuring customers are informed of the price changes and available methods of purchase. A news article will be published on sytravelmaster.com, posters and pricing leaflets distributed for on-board display alongside notices at Ticket Vending Machines.
