Travel South Yorkshire have sent details of essential runway resurfacing works which are scheduled to take place between Friday 18 August and Tuesday 17 October at Meadowhall and Sheffield Interchanges. The works will enable safer use of the interchanges for passengers and bus operators, minimising the need for ad hoc maintenance and repair.
How will the works affect bus services?
The interchanges will remain operational during the works, which will be completed in phases to minimise disruption to operators and customers.
Customer journeys may be impacted by temporary changes to departure and arrival stands and changes to pedestrian routes within the Interchanges. Buses will use alternative stands and pick up points when their usual allocated stand is closed. Live departure information may be unavailable or incomplete and some timetable information will not be available at certain bus stands.
