Sheffield Local Plan Update (Including Green Belt development)
The draft Local Plan is now at the Stage 3 Hearing stage. This is where government appointed planning inspectors considered whether is it is sound. Including if to support the proposals to build on large areas of the Green Belt in Ecclesfield Parish for housing and other forms of development, which the inspectors have asked for more detailed information on. The Parish Council and many others continue to press that they are not.
Ecclesfield Parish residents were represented at the hearing by the Chair, Councillor Susan Davidson; the Clerk, Andrew Towlerton and Parish and City Councillor Michael Levery as well as others.
The outcome of this and any other subsequent hearings are expected earlier next year.
More information about the hearings can be found at Sheffield Plan
