NOTICE OF CASUAL VACANCY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972,
that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Thorncliffe Ward of Ecclesfield
Parish Council.
If by 2 July 2024 (14 days after the date of this notice*), a request for an election to fill the
said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at Town Hall, Sheffield, S1 2HH by
TEN electors for the said Parish Ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy,
otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If called, the election will take place not later than 5 September 2024.
