Getting Wild in Chapeltown

As part of our environmental projects we have been hard at work with some of the Student Council from Lound Junior school. We implemented bug hotels, hedgehog highways and even a hedgehog house. The children worked so hard, despite not the best weather and we chatted a  lot about Hedgehog conservation.

Remember, that hedgehogs are now vulnerable to extinction, one of the best ways to help them is to avoid using slug pellets and cut a 13cm square hole in any garden fences so they can travel. If you have hedgehogs in your garden, please email emmamainwaring@ecclesfield-pc.gov.uk and we can add you to our hedgehog honour roll!
